The Daze OF SUMMER

EACH SUMMERS DAY,AS I TRY TO UNWIND

I BEGIN TO ENVISION PHOTOGRAPHS IN

A SECTION OF MY MIND

AND I REFLECT UPON MY TIES THAT BIND

MY CHILDREN PULLING ME

EACH AND EVERY WAY

SHOUTING HURRY UP I WANT

TO GO OUT AND PLAY

HUSBAND WITH LEATHER BRIEFCASE

IN HAND

LOOKING FOR A NEW ACCOUNT TO LAND

THE HOT SUMMER BREEZE BARELY

MOVING THE TREES,BRIGHT YELLOW MARIGOLDS

AND BUZZING BUMBLE BEES

THE BEACH WITH BLUE WAVES AND

SAND CASTLES, SMALL KIDS FIGHTING

PARENT BATTLES, THE SWELTERING HUMIDITY

THE HUM ,FAN BLOWING AT MY FEET

PEOPLE WAITING FOR VACATION

TO RELIEVE THE BOREDOM OF THE

SUBWAY STATION

COME SEPTEMBER THE SUMMER WILL

BE OVER AND”I’LL DREAM ABOUT THE

WHITE CLIFFS OF DOVER”
